Low-carb Diet Day 6: Ready for My Weigh-in Tomorrow Morning

Because I'm typing these up at the end of the day, these posts don't really seem to be much more than a bunch of numbers. That's not really what I wanted them to be about, but on the other hand, I really want to get to bed. I'm pretty much wrecked by around 10 every night, and then I'm staying up, spending more time on the cross-trainer, putting numbers into CalorieKing and WeightWatchers, comparing graphs, blogging, etc. and not getting to bed until midnight. Asleep by 12:30 and up again at 6:30. I think I'd be doing myself a big favor if I were asleep by 10:30 every night. But honestly, I just don't see that happening.

But apart from that little issue, I have to say that I'm feeling pretty good. My morning weigh-in was 149.8 (330 lbs). Getting back under 150 kilos was a really good feeling. The last time I was here was back in late November, when I weighed-in at 149.7. So unless something bizarre happens, I should go to my weekly weigh-in tomorrow and record my lowest weight since joining Weight Watchers back on 4 Feb, 2010. I'm looking forward to it.

And I'm also looking forward to eating some ice cream.

Today I had the usual breakfast, but with kidney beans instead of borlotti (pinto) beans, and I forgot to add the corn. I guess the excitement of a new bean totally blew my concentration. :) So that was 494 calories, or 12 ProPoints. Then because the meat I was counting on arriving with my grocery order didn't arrive, lunch ended up happening around 3:30. To hold me over, I had the last hotdog frank and the rest of the chilli. A tasty little snack, and it was 294 calories, or 5 ProPoints. Once I'd gone to the grocery store to pick up the things they either didn't supply or I forgot to order, I had a lunch consisting of a hamburger steak, and lentils and mixed veggies (459 calories, 12 ProPoints). And dinner was the same, with the addition of a salad (540 calories, 15 ProPoints). Not exactly a cornucopia of culinary excitement going on, but it got the job done.

Add 'em all up, throw in a couple of cups of coffee, and it comes to 1788 calories, and 46 ProPoints. Six sessions on the cross-trainer burned 1466 calories (35 ProPoints), so I finished the day with 322 net calories. According to Weight Watchers, I've earned 229 Activity Points this week. If all my bonus Points didn't reset when I weigh in tomorrow morning, I'd have something like 250 ProPoints up my sleeve. That's a bit silly, but I don't think the system is really set up for people doing what I'm doing.

And now it's time for bed. I'm really hoping I'm 149.5 kg or below tomorrow at weigh-in. But whatever the number turns out to be, I'm going to keep going. My next mini-goal weight is 145.5 kg. I set that goal after I reached my previous mini-goal of 155.5 kg. That was back on 31 July, 2010. That was over 6 freaking months ago. If I can continue this week's rate of weight loss, I can achieve that goal within a fortnight (two weeks). That would be totally sweet!
