I'm having a pretty good week, even though things didn't really go the way I'd planned. The Plan was to go for a one-hour walk every day.
Had a great walk on Sunday.
And again on Monday.
But by Tuesday, The Plan was looking a bit shaky. I ended up walking for about 15 minutes (I had to run a few errands in town, and I deliberately parked where I'd get maximum walking) and then ended up taking Tom to the park instead of going for a longer walk afterward. On the good side, I had a reasonably healthy Subway sandwich for lunch instead of going for any of the 387 less-healthy options offered by the other cafes and fast food joints, and I found out that WW counts playing as exercise. Sweet!
On Wednesday (my birthday), there was no walking at all. It was a gorgeous day and I was looking forward to spending some time outside, but it just didn't work out that way. Which is a bit of a bummer, but the cool part is that instead of spending time getting some exercise in the fresh air and sunshine, I was having a good time catching up with friends and family on the phone and online. And at the end of the day, building those relationships and strengthening those connections are just as important and healthy as exercising.
