Cleaning Counts as Exercise, Right?

I didn't get on the cross-trainer yesterday. And I didn't go for a walk. But I did spend a couple of hours cleaning and re-organizing the garage. And judging by the soreness this morning (back, arms, shoulders, legs, etc.) I'm saying that was good enough.

I didn't think to take a "before" picture, but here's the "after" shot:



If that doesn't look like a clean and organized garage to you, all I can say is that you should've seen the "before". The area around the ironing board was clear, and there was a path to the freezer and file cabinet that continued on to the cross-trainer over by the right-hand wall. Everything else was just a mess of boxes, junk, furniture, broken toys, etc.

We've been slowly cleaning out all the stuff we don't want, and hauling it to the dump or the recycling center. We've still got some old mattresses, behind the recycling bin in the bottom-right corner of the pic, and some stuff we're planning to give away to charity, sell on ebay, etc. but otherwise, most of what's left is stuff we need but doesn't fit in the house. So it's our tool shed, ironing room, pantry, store room, and gym. We've never parked a car in it.
