I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I haven't been a very good boy so far over the holidays. Lots of food. Lots of BAD food. Lots of JUNK food. It was a little bit of a surprise to learn that I've only put on 2.8 kg (a little over 6 lbs) in the 7 weeks since I last did a weigh-in. Not that today was an official weigh-in, but I weighed myself on our bathroom scales with all my clothes on, so hopefully it's reasonably close to the number I'd get on the WW scales if I actually went to a meeting.
So I need to get busy losing that weight. Today I worked toward that goal by recording my eating, and staying within my daily allotment. Also, I spent some time on the cross trainer this morning. Damn, that thing is TOUGH!
Last night I was on it for 8 minutes. Yes, 8 minutes, and that was with 2 stops to catch my breath. 8 freaking minutes and sweat was pouring off me and my legs were so wobbly I could barely walk when I got off the thing.
Then this morning, I totally shattered that previous record by staying on the thing for a whopping TEN minutes. In a row. Without stopping. Yeah, I'm a bad-ass. Well, maybe not. But even though the cross trainer is freaking hard, it's low-impact, it's indoors, and I can do it in my underwear. So really, the only excuse I have not to do it is that I'm a big fat chickenshit who's too scared to get on the thing because I know it's going to kick my ass.
