Back Again!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've written anything here. The big question is do I gain weight and quit exercising because I stop blogging, or do I stop blogging because I'm gaining weight and not exercising? One of the great, unanswerable mysteries of the universe, no doubt.

Overall, I had a pretty good spring and summer. In terms of weight, I've lost about 30 kg (66 lbs). Unfortunately, it's been the same 10kg over and over again, and I'm still at nearly the same weight I was when I stopped blogging back in August. Weigh-in this morning was 161.8 kg (356.7 lbs), down from 171.2 kg (377.4 lbs) about a month ago.

I lose weight by limiting carbs (no sugar, no bread, no junk food, etc.) and making sure I get plenty of fat, protein, and veggies. Then I put it back on with junk food and too much pasta.

In terms of exercise, I'm not doing anything in particular. At the start of the year, I was walking an hour a day, and using a stationary bike that Karen bought last year. Then it started raining several days a week, the bike broke, and I stopped exercising on a regular basis. But I have been a lot more active over the summer (weather permitting) than I have been in the past, so I guess that counts for something.
