Weigh-in: 21 August 2010

Today's weight: 152.9 kg (337 lbs)
Change: -1.0 kg (-2.2 lbs)
Total loss: -42.6 kg (-93.9 lbs)

I'm a day late posting my results because 1) it hurts to type, and 2) I was busy with other things yesterday, including the election and the aftermath (at this point, it looks like a hung parliament). So, better late than never, and in the end the result was pretty good. And my turning up for weigh-in, that now makes 5 weeks in a row.

So is the "more meetings = more weight-loss" hypothesis still holding up? After five weeks of weekly weigh-ins, I've lost 4.3 kilos, an average of .86 kg per week. In the 11 weeks prior to that, when I was skipping meetings, I lost a total of 10.6 kilos, an average of .96 kg per week. Based on that, I'd have to say that there's no correlation between going to meetings every week and losing more weight.

So I guess I shouldn't get too hung up on ensuring that I make to meeting every week, and concentrate more on trying to eat and move in ways that are going to result in adopting a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. After all, that lifestyle will NOT involve me going to Weight Watchers meetings for the rest of my life.
