Freezing Spinach for Green Smoothies

Have I mentioned lately how much I'm loving these green smoothies? I've pretty much abandoned the plan of alternating with oatmeal, and I'm just having a smoothie (spinach, mixed berries, banana, milk, and honey) every morning.

And today I've discovered that freezing fresh spinach is quick and easy, so I'll keep a box or two of frozen spinach in the freezer as a back-up, but from now on, I think I'll stick with the fresh stuff. All I did was grab a couple of handfuls of baby spinach, chop it up, spread it out on a metal cookie sheet, and toss it in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Too easy!

Then I did another batch and put it in a Ziploc bag, so that I'll have some to use later.
