Todays weight: 151.9 kg (334.9 lbs)
Change: -1.2 kg (2.6 lbs)
Total loss: -43.6 kg (96.1 lbs)
A good result, but honestly, I'm a little disappointed. I really thought I'd have another 2+ kg loss this week. Looking at my food and exercise trackers, I ended up with more saved points at the end of this week than I did last week (49 to 37). But on the other hand, I also ended up with fewer points earned through activity (32 to 55)
So I ate less (in terms of Points, not in terms of quantity of food), but I also walked less. I didn't have any days where I went on more than one walk, and a lot of my walks this week for around a half hour (around 4 Points). Last week, I earned an average of 6.5 Activity Points a day. Another thing to consider is that a lot of my walks were late at night, instead of in the middle of the day. I'm not sure if the time of day makes a difference or not
A quick Google tells me that the general consensus is that morning exercise is best for weight loss, but I'm not sure how much science is behind that. With the days getting warmer, the sun coming up earlier, and work about to finish, there's really no excuse for me not to start getting up a little earlier and going for a walk every morning. Then if I work in another one (or two) during the day, that's great, but if I don't then at least I've done it and it's out of the way.
But anyway, a two-and-a-half pound loss is A Good Thing.™ That gives me a 3.6 kg (7.9 lb) loss for the first two weeks of my five week challenge. That averages out to put me a little behind (1.8 kg when I need an average of 2 kg per week), but I'll make some changes (more walking!), and I should be able to achieve a 2+ kg loss next week to put me back on track.
