Weigh-in: 7 May, 2012

Today's Weight: 155.9 kg (343.7 lbs)
Change: -1.6 kg (-3.5 lbs)
Total Loss: -39.6 (-87.3 lbs)

My goal weight for this week was 156.4 kg, and I'm at 155.9 kg, so that's very cool. My goal this week was to lose 1.6 kg, and I lost 1.6 kg. Also very cool. The part that's a little worrying is that I actually only lost weight 3 days this week--Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday--and I've been stuck on 155.9 kg over the entire weekend.

I can't say that I'm entirely surprised that I didn't lose weight over the weekend, since I ate the Enchilada Casserole on Saturday (lots of cheese, refried beans, and corn chips), then again for lunch on Sunday, and the Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya (with white rice) for dinner Sunday night. Definitely not a junk-food binge or anything, but apparently enough to put me into a bit of a stall.

My goal weight for next week is 154.7 kg, so I need to lose 1.2 kg to hit that. But if I stick to my 1.6 - 1.7 kg weight loss goal per week, then I need to get down to 154.2 kg this week. Either way, that means I need to get the scales moving again. So no fish and risoni stew with herb bread for me tonight. I'll go with chicken and veggies (or salad) instead. And no chili mac tomorrow night (I'll go with chili, skip the mac). And I'll make sure I use my low-carb pasta substitute for my spaghetti on Wednesday and Thursday.

I'm also thinking that, as nice as it is not to have to log and track everything I eat, it might be sensible to map out a full meal plan for next week, including calorie and carb tracking. I'm also planning to buy a jacket this weekend, which will mean I can get out and do more walking, even when it's cold. At this point, I'm even considering joining a gym--there's a Club Lime here in Gungahlin that's open from 6am to 9pm, and will cost $21 a week, and an AnyTime Fitness that's open 24/7, and I think costs around $50 a month (I've just emailed them so hopefully I'll know the exact numbers shortly).

The AnyTime Fitness just opened up at the beginning of the year, and I like the 24/7 access, although I'm not sure if  that would actually be useful, unless I stopped in after work. Apart from that, I think it's probably cheaper per day or week than Club Lime, but with less flexible terms (pay by the month, and I've read online that there may be 12 month contracts).

In any case, whether I end up joining a gym or not, I need to keep focused on my goal of getting under 150 kg by the end of the month.

Then I've got 4 weeks off from 21 June to 25 July, so I need to come up with a special goal to achieve while I've got that time off. Continuing my 1.6 to 1.7 kg weekly weight-loss goals through to July 30 would put me at 136.7 kg, which is very close to the 136 kg (300 lb) mark. So if I'm still on track to hit that goal, maybe I'll put in a little extra effort and try to get to 136 kg by the time I go back to work. If I can do that, I think it'll be the first time I've been under 300 lbs since February, 2007.
