I'm not complaining about losing nearly a kilo a week, but I'm going to be very happy when I finally hit 40 kg of total weight loss. I dropped the first 20 kgs in 12 weeks, but at the rate I'm going, the second 20 is going to take 15 or 16 weeks. Once that's done, I'm going to set my next goal weight at 145.5 kgs, a 10 kg drop instead of 20 kg. I'm hoping that hitting these mini-goals more frequently will help keep me motivated.
I'm also going to try harder to make it to meeting every week. In the 12 weeks it took to drop that first 20, I only missed two meetings. In the 14 weeks since then, I've missed 5. Seems pretty damned simple to me--go to more meetings, lose weight faster.
This week should be okay, although once again I'm trying several new recipes without working out the points in advance. But none of them are sounding alarm bells. My biggest challenge this week is going to be tonight. Jack and I are going to a Raiders game. So dinner tonight will be probably be a meat pie and a cup of hot chips, both splashed with as much tomato sauce (ketchup) as they can hold, washed down with a couple of beers. It'll be fun, but clearly a price must be paid. And I've got a feeling I'm going to be paying all week.
